As a young girl I was very impressed by photography. My grandfather Jan was a photographer and teached me to ‘see’ the beauty in everyday life and nature. In the darkroom I was very excited to see a split second of my life being developed into a photograph. From that moment I was hooked.

I am Saskia Weijman and Since 2017 I am a professional photographer based in The Netherlands. Also I am a teacher smartphone photography to everybody who wants to have fun in photographing everyday life.

My photographs and expertise are covered in several books, magazines and newspapers.

My own project is ‘Life as it is’, shown on this website. I like to connect to people and tell the story of a moment in their life. Just as it is.
